Protection Measures:
Working personnel should wear breathing masks to protect respiratory organs and wear overalls and latex gloves to protect the skin.
Storage and Transportation:
Sodium nitrate shall not be stored and shipped with gauze, paper, oil, sugar, wood, sulfur, organics, acids, alkalies and other oxidants; be kept away from rain, sunshine and moisture during the transportation; be treated with care in loading and unloading to prevent friction, impact and packaging breakage. Sand should be used firstly, and then water or a variety of fire extinguishers when it catches fire, but aqueous solution should be avoided to contact with combustible materials.
